Ingredients
Scale
36 large raw shrimp, about 1 lb, thawed, peeled, and deveined
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 large garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1½ teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon honey
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Season the shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry and toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Heat the skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Arrange the shrimp in a single layer with space between them, working in batches as needed.
Cook the shrimp: Sear for 1 to 2 mins per side, until pink, opaque, and lightly browned. Transfer to a bowl.
Cook the garlic: Add the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil and sliced garlic to the same skillet. Cook for about 1 min, until lightly golden and fragrant, reducing the heat if necessary to prevent burning.
Finish and serve: Stir in the smoked paprika and honey. Return the shrimp, toss to coat, and remove from the heat immediately. Adjust salt and pepper and serve.
Notes
Thaw frozen shrimp completely and pat dry before cooking.
Avoid crowding the skillet or cooking the garlic until dark.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days. Reheat only the portion needed until hot throughout.
