Easy Halloween Mummy Mini Pizzas

Halloween mummy mini pizza with melted mozzarella bandages and olive eyes lifted from a white platter on marble.

Halloween Mummy Mini Pizzas turn English muffins, pizza sauce, mozzarella, and black olives into a fun Halloween snack. With crisp edges and melted cheese bandages, these little pizzas come together in about 25 minutes for a party platter or an easy family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 English muffins, split into 8 halves
  • ½ cup pizza sauce
  • 6 ounces sliced low moisture mozzarella, cut into strips about ¼ inch wide
  • 16 black olive rings, drained and patted dry

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Heat the oven to 400°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the muffin halves cut side up.
  2. Toast the bases: Bake for 4 to 5 minutes, until the cut surfaces feel lightly crisp.
  3. Add the sauce: Spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce over each half, leaving a narrow border.
  4. Decorate the mummies: Arrange mozzarella strips across each muffin at different angles, leaving small gaps of sauce visible. Add two olive rings near the upper third of each pizza for eyes.
  5. Bake and serve: Bake for another 6 to 8 minutes, until the cheese softens and the sauce is hot. Check early to keep the cheese strips from melting together completely. Cool briefly before serving.

Notes

  • Use low moisture mozzarella rather than fresh mozzarella to prevent watery toppings.
  • Cut the cheese and prepare the olives a day ahead, then refrigerate separately.
  • Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours and use within 3 days. Freeze cooled pizzas for up to 1 month.
  • Reheat refrigerated pizzas at 350°F for about 8 to 10 minutes, until hot throughout.
  • Makes 8 mini pizzas; one serving is 2 mini pizzas. Nutrition is approximate and varies by brand.
