Creamy Harissa Ravioli is a quick, cozy pasta dinner made with cheese ravioli, smoky harissa paste, sweet mini peppers, and coconut cream. The sauce turns silky and bold in the skillet, making this an easy meatless dinner for busy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8.8 oz cheese ravioli
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup mini peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ tablespoons harissa paste
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ cup coconut cream
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, optional

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ravioli according to the package directions. Drain gently and set aside.
  2. Soften the peppers: Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mini peppers and cook for about 5 mins, stirring occasionally, until glossy and softened.
  3. Add the aromatics: Stir in the garlic and cook for 40 seconds to 1 min, just until fragrant. Add the cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Build the sauce: Stir in the harissa paste and tomato paste until they coat the peppers. Pour in the coconut cream and reduce the heat to medium low.
  5. Simmer the sauce: Cook for 5 to 6 mins, stirring often, until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and evenly orange.
  6. Toss and serve: Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet and gently fold until coated. Finish with parsley if using and serve warm.

Notes

Use mild harissa for a gentler sauce or add a little extra if you like more heat.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or coconut cream to loosen the sauce.
Avoid stirring too roughly after adding the ravioli so the pasta does not split
